Sometimes in life, there are things that just go together.

Everybody knows this stuff.

My barefoot name is AlliWinehouse.
This is no joke…when I moved out of the house at 18 and rented a room in a house with some family in San Francisco, the older daughter wanted to get me drunk. So, she went to the store and bought two bottles of Barefoot. Both red.
I totally though you couldn’t get drunk on wine. Um. Needless to say, I had a headache for two days.
Needless to say, things have changed and I have a tolerance for wine that almost never leads to a headache.
P.S. I am a Chardonnay girl. Unless I really need to unwind, then it’s all Pinot Noir.

I am the… BarefootPenguin.
I can baaaaarely choose a favorite, but I’ll say the Merlot because it’s my year-round favorite, even though I tend to switch to Pinot Grigio in the summer.
As for what I want to do barefoot this summer… spend some time with my husband! He works 6 days a week, mostly in the evenings, while I work 9-5 so it’s like we never get to see each other because even our free time gets filled with obligations.
So me, him, a bottle of wine (all for me b/c he doesn’t drink!) and some bare feet sounds like a dream.

If I chose a Barefoot name that had something to do with feet, I’d wind up being “OwMyBlisterFromTheseHeels” srsly.
So being LAAAAME I joined as TheCraningGap.
Also I was glad to see someone else even acknowledging Barefoot. Since I discovered their Moscato last year I’ve been a convert, hardcore. Moscato!
My name is softshoe because I love to dance (barefoot) and the site said you should use foot/shoe or something related in your name…so I felt that I needed to obey! Although, other…way cooler names didn’t and so I say they are rebels and shouldn’t win! LOL!
I love White Zin…and their Chardonay and Riesling. I love fruity wine when I’m in the bath (barefoot) or just chill’in and the white wine when I’m chowing down.
I also love red but am allergic to the sulfates…so can’t have it in any volume which is no fun.

I have been taking my little guy to the pool as much as possible this summer. Barefoot. In the pool…cause we’re too broke to do anything else.

Oooh, and my favorite is Reisling. I grew up in Germany, and I think that’s what they put in my bottles. Second fave is pinot grigio.
I’d be thrilled to kick off my shoes and go barefoot in the grass back home in Colorado, because in crappy Texas, where I currently am stuck, there are fire ants and giant spiders and ticks the size of cocker spaniels.
And I also like to kick off my shoes and be barefoot in the kitchen, despite my husband’s protests that I don’t have to be, we’ve been liberated. Whatev. I’m happiest there.

There were so many rules. I’m so confused. I went and put a barefoot name at barfoot land but it wasn’t at all clever because I just put CarolynOnline which is stupid and I should have been Barefootapalooza or something. And I don’t even think I should be in the contest because I would totally put beer in that insulated little cup instead of wine. I mean I’ll drink wine, in a pinch, but really I’m a beer girl. So you know, I guess you can just count me out. But I tried to play the game. I’m such a quiter.

Hmmm barefoot this summer? My husband is in South Korea for the next year so me being barefoot consists of lying on the couch with no shoes on having a conversation over Skype with him! How nice would it be to have a bottle of wine to accompany that? Oh wait, a freakin hangover would suck the next morning taking care of my 20 month old with no help;) Because I would certainly drink the entire bottle. Love your blog. Hi! I have read this blog for a long time and love it! But, when you mentioned my FAVORITE wine, I had to comment! I drink the Barefoot Cab Sav every weenend! LOVE it! The best wine around for the price!
