Half a decade.

by barefootfoodie on December 18, 2009

anni

Five years ago today, we were married by candle light.

I am pretty sure the five year anniversary gift is sex in a foreign country and a go-kart.

But, Andy says no, and we will spend our evening in our favorite Indian restaurant .

Eating masala while I make him tell me about the day he realized he loved me.

Over and over again.

That’s very sweet. I’m sure it’s a charming story. Congrats and enjoy your special day. Previous poster is right- it’s just for you two (though I’m glad you shared with us anyway).

Happy anniversary!!!

My wife and I always joke about what the proper gift is for the various anniversaries, then it all goes down hill from there. I like the go-cart, but our fifth has already passed.

Many, many, many sincere congratulations. I like your celebration/gift idea better than his, but his doesn’t sound so bad, really. We hit the seven-year mark last June. That, of course, doesn’t count the seven years we lived together before that. Proving, once again, that we are old.

Congratulations.

So what is 10 years then? I need to give my husband the heads up (oh *snigger*!) for 2 weeks time.

Ha! I harass my husband to tell me about when he “knew I was the one” ALL the time. It’s not just for your anniversary. Usually when I’ve been drinking and he just rolls his eyes and placates me.

Congrats to you and your husband! I just celebrated my fifth last April and I believe jewlery should be the gift of choice for every anniversary!
